Thanks to all those who voted for my image. I feel I was very lucky with the light and had only really had the camera 2 weeks when I shot this but am eagerly chasing more pictures (I was also nursing epic dental pain). Congratulations to the other winners and look forward to Febs competition.

Congratulations to everyone, especially the top 3. With so many fine photos, it was difficult choosing just one. I ended up choosing one of my favourites based on how it reflected the time of year, although I know this was not one of the criteria. As it turned out, this was a choice that many made based on their own criteria. I especially appreciated Nick's comment that anyone could have taken his photo, even with a point and shoot camera. Of course, if they had Nick's talent . Nevertheless, his gracious response gives hope to those of us still struggling with which end of the camera you point at stuff. I found every photo interesting and learned something from each one. You can't ask for much more. Such a talented group! Keep up the good work everyone!
