C&C Please
From my latest attempt at portraiture. This is one of my daughter's friends at a birthday party. Definitely a technical flaw with the T-shirt, but I think I'm getting better at this.

Re: C&C Please
I like the shot but don't like the background, as her face gets lost in the background on the RHS. Is that a hair on the cuff? Perhaps a bit of PP to fix that.

Re: C&C Please
I have to agree with the background and her getting lost there. Maybe a color closer to the color of her eyes or, at least one or two values darker than this.

Re: C&C Please
I agree, the bg color is poor.
I need to find some other indoor options for backgrounds.
Thanks for the input.

Re: C&C Please
Maybe it isn't quite a pro photo; but it is still very good.

Re: C&C Please
Thanks Geoff.
I would have liked to get a little better light on the front of her jacket.

What did you use for lighting?

Re: C&C Please
Hi Pono,
I used a shoot through umbrella to her right with a CTO gel, and 2 home depot $8 shop lights behind her on either side to light up her hair.

Re: C&C Please
Hi everybody
first of all I would say that I'm all the opposite of an experienced photographer, and I like very much that picture, but I would crop tighter in the up-left and leave more room at bottom-right...
sorry if I'm telling something wrong...
bye
Nicola

Re: C&C Please
Nicola, thanks for the suggestion. I hadn't thought of cropping it that way. I'll have to look at the RAW file to see how I might crop it differently.
