Who cares about technicalities when you have such a great memory shot? Make sure you make a backup copy you would hate to lose it.
Thank you, Peter. I think it is my all time favorite of me and Max.
Somethings not quite right here Mary ... the woman in the photo looks far too young you have a 19 year old son!
Thanks, Colin! I can't believe he is 19 and it doesn't seem possible that I'm 44. How. Did. That. Happen?
Looks like a very proud, happy mother and a very warm-loving son. Congrats for having a nice family, Mary.
Thanks, Jiro. I miss him.
This photograph shows the connection between you and your son but it also shows the connection with the photographer.
A professional photographer you didn't know may take something a little sharper, but they would really struggle to capture this moment.
Really very nice.. although I wouldn't necessarily call it candid...
Thank you. I called it candid because we were messing around, actually, he was pretending to choke me and my husband said, 'stop for a minute' and he clicked.
I almost missed this and that would have been sad because, Mary, this is GREAT! Aren't sons the best? and, as a photograph...don't we want this much emotion in what we capture?
Thanks, Katy. Yes, sons are the best. The emotion that is captured is magnified when you know what a difficult year that he had gone through. I look back at pictures of this past year of him and see such sorrow and pain mostly hidden behind sunglasses. When my husband drove him back to school he called me in tears, when drove away. We hadn't seen him truly happy for so long... and then... he was in a car accident and your heart just stops when you realize how quickly life can change. He is okay, but his beloved car is not and he is crushed over that and his girlfriend broke up. Growing up is h.a.r.d.
At least he still has the chance to grow up, older. It is a good thing he wasn't hurt as badly as the car. He will heal as will his emotions. Growing up is indeed, hard.
I like it....looks and feels spontaneous. A real keeper in the family album.
