    Experiment in downloading

    First decent moon shot

I used photobucket to make the image file link...does this mean I can save the file in a larger format and have it show better on here???

Chris, I use photobucket myself but honestly can not answer you question. My knowledge in such things are a bit lacking. I am just more at home with a chainsaw than a computer. My thought is though...no matter what you use to host your photo it will not be any larger than 1024 on the long side when it appears here. Maybe I am missing your question but your photos have always appeared to be about this size.

I sometimes link from P base, Chris, which works OK but if I am correct (and often I'm not) then an image which is greater than 700 pixels on the long edge or more than (I think ) 150 kb it gets automatically resized when shown here so some softness can sometimes develop.

ps. A good sky gradient there.
