First Robin of Spring

I guess this is an American thing. I couldn't resist this pic. It was a major crop, so I do not have high hopes for detail.

BTW, There's a strange red outline around the "flowers" on the.....the..... I just can't think of the name of that bush, at the mo.

Sumac is the plant. Stag Horn Sumac, I think.

Oy the Halo! Didn't notice it, now it is all I can see! It is cropped from about 1/16 of the shot.

You probably have robins now. There was a large flock of them flying around.

I think that you're right - sumac! The only word that was coming to mind was "tamarac". Now, what is a tamarac?

Kind of a drab bird, I know.



But after a winter like this, it is nice to see them again, even if it is on a snowbank.

It looks like there is a cast in the picture, but I can't identify it.

Tamarack is a needle sheding pine tree, that turns a wonderful yellow in fall.

Nice shots of robins. Both shots could be improved with some post processing, but I would be excited if they were here now.

No robins here, yet. Glad you have them and got good shots. You're right, after this winter, robins will be nice.
