Winter Sunshine
Enjoying the winter sunshine, lovely colours. Tried to get bands of sunshine across the fallen leaves, receding into the background.

Looks as if it has lost some of the vibrancy uploading to the web

Re: Winter Sunshine
not lost any vibrancy this end (Firefox with colour management) Nigel. Probably not what you want to hear, but wonder if that dead log is really necessary as a lead-in? A crop of the top left 2/3 with just a small bit of the upward root in bottom right corner looks promising, but I bet you took some slightly different viewpoints and wouldn't mind seeing them

Re: Winter Sunshine
You have certainly captured the starkness of winter. It feels cold even with the welcomed sunlight. I appreciate your avatar too.

Re: Winter Sunshine
Another with strong lead lines, interesting keeping camera shadow out of the image
better on safari than firefox I would imagine

Re: Winter Sunshine
I like the composition, just wondering if it needs a wee bit of sharpening now that it's down-sized though?

Re: Winter Sunshine
I like this one better Nigel, the shadow going even further than visual lead-in, almost a path to walk along. No difference safari-firefox. As Colin says, could be sharper.
BTW Safari is available for PC and has auto colour profiling. Also behaves a bit like IE opening eg Reader frame within safari frame like IE (instead of saving pdf for one to open in ones chosen prog) - why I don't use it, but probably good for weaning from IE.

Re: Winter Sunshine
As before
Sharpened a little more using unsharp mask twice 85% 0.7 0
I'd value your thoughts

Re: Winter Sunshine
sharpening effective, but seems to have lost saturation at the same time
