This logo from our American Maltese Association has been copied and recopied. No one seems to have been in charge of maintaining the original of the logo. The quality has deteriorated over many generations of copying. Is there anyway short of completely redoing this logo to clean it up and make it acceptable.
We need it in decent quality to make banners..

Restoration of this Logo is futile!!!
The only way to save time and still have a high quality is to trace it into vector graphics and go from there. I would suggest downloading Inkscape and trying that. If I have time I may trace this in Inkscape myself and see what I can do. I can see that the image was at one time a low res png or bitmap file and has been retouched since scanning.
I will see what I can do, as I am a graphic designer.
