Hi,

I am from Singapore. I chanced upon this forum and was amazed at the amount of information on photography available. I also feel the friendly atmosphere here. I have taken up photography as a hobby more seriously since 2007. My interest is in nature photography, specifically macro & landscape. There is still alot for me to learn and I hope by joining CIC, my photography will improve.

I am very glad that this is the impression you got from reading posts in the forum. That is certainly the aim and intention. I'm sure you've also already seen that those with vast amounts of knowledge and experience and only too willing to share that on here and that nobody is criticised for asking questions that are not 'clever' or 'smart' enough.

So please do join in: Post up images for comment or in competitions. Join in the serious and, sometimes, not so serious discussions that take place and ...... feel free to ask lots of questions. Good to have you joining up.

The best way to learn is to jump into the discussions, and if there isn't a thread about something already just start it!

Thanks, Donald & Sonic for your warm welcome. I have posted a pic in the competition but somehow, the pic did not appear. It was indicated that uploading was successful. Must have done something not right.
