Re: In conversation with ..... Steaphany Waelder
In my case, I can honesty say that I have never been intoxicated, even through the age when many turn to booze or drugs. I'm the oldest of 7 and many of them did. The reason behind why I never was temped to compromise my cognitive abilities is that I valued my mind and brain and did not want to impede my intellectual potential. ( I have a friend who says that I may have been young, but I was never a "child". )
As a bench mark, the physics discussion here is what I liken to how others chit chat about the weather, "is the sky cloudy or clear" - casual filler small talk. My work and hobbies will often take a far more in depth level of analysis and contemplation. ( You should have gotten a hint of that from the interview. ) The reason I named my consultancy business Kitsune, the Japanese word for Fox, is because Japanese mythology attributes magical abilities to Foxes and I've often had clients describing my work as high tech magic, confirming Arthur C. Clarke's "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
