Mitchell Falls, Kimberley region of north west Oz. A spectacular environment of unique geological structures; generally inaccessible during Summer "wet" season November to March when falls like this are hidden by huge volumes of water and the few roads in are impassable.
certainly looks as spectacular as you say - can you swim in a pool like that or do you get eaten? Also deserves a slightly bigger higher res version rrox - at least for the next ones I hope you will post - and welcome to the forum
Hi rrox, nice place, I prefer been there right now than here where we've -3 °C.
Something else, I would recommend you reading the following thread. It'll help you posting your pictures in a better way, also will help us saving space.
Thanks for your comments folks.
Re swimming here, I guess you might but it's fairly tough going and can be pretty hot, scrambling around these cliffs. There are scores of much more accessible pools, almost as scenic and easier to reach.
This water is well inland and fairly high; you may come across an occasional freshwater (generally harmless) Croc. The nasty saltwater monsters, as implied prefer saline environment, therefore closer to rivers and ocean.
I will follow up on uploading technique .. have joined Flickr so am on the way.
I'll put more Kimberley shots on during next few days.
