Continuing the Pittsburgh "Invasion"
I stumbled upon the site today and decided to join, and in an odd twist of coincidence, I'm also from Pittsburgh even though I don't know Emmanuel who is also from Pittsburgh and just joined yesterday.
I've been shooting for a couple years now, and tend to lean towards macro, wildlife, and general outdoor photography. And just this year, I got serious about underwater photography (yes, I scuba dive as well) by buying a housing for my Canon 7D.
I'm looking for ways to keep my interest up and so am trying different challenges and forums to get involved in more photography "communities".
I would really appreciate it if anyone would like to take a swing by my blog - http://www.ktuli.com/photography/ - and give me any critiques/comments. I've been doing the blog for a little over a year now and am always looking for ways to make it better!

Bill,
Your blog is very polished. I am impressed. You certainly cover a broad subject range. So far, my favorite image is from your post of 2/8/11, the false Clownfish. I voted for the modified version. Love the framing and the vibrant colors. Nice!
How you could make it better? Nothing jumped out at me....I was too busy just looking. While your major focus appears to be underwater photography, I might continue to explore other subjects. I did enjoy you Christmas tutorial and I like the polls for choice of best image.
Keep up the good work!

Re: Continuing the Pittsburgh "Invasion"
Mike,
Thanks for the comments! To be honest, I only recently got into serious UW photography. I got certified a couple years back and have been on a few dive trips. When we got closer to this last trip to Indonesia to dive some of the most diverse reefs in the world, I simply couldn't justify taking only a P&S UW camera, so I splurged and bought what I needed to take my SLR in the pond. So that's why there is so much UW photography on the site right now, I recently returned from the trip with so many fantastic shots that I couldn't resist sharing a bulk of them right away.
In general, I shoot macro, wildlife, etc. I'd love to shoot UW all the time, but living here in Pittsburgh, there isn't much opportunity to do so. Gotta win the lottery so I can go diving 12 times a year!
Thanks again! Glad you liked the site, hope to see you there as a regular visitor!
