    Another newbie.

Hello all. I've just graduated from a point and shoot to a DSLR, lots of learning to do. I live and work in the Rocky Mountains so I have plenty of photo ops. From what I have read, everyone seems very helpful and explain things in a way that makes sense, I'm looking forward to my time here.......

Mark - Hello. Great to have you here. Rocky mountains! On my goodness - wonderful opportunities indeed.

Mark, welcome to the site. I am new here as well but so far it has been quite rewarding. I envy you the southern Rockies, up here they are reduced to whale back ridges so not so photogenic from a distance (but tonnes of alpine and easier to climb)

The Rocky Mountains are beautiful and we have travelled up and down British Columbia many times. This spring we took a trip to southern British Columbia and we were thrilled to see all the wild life, even some mountain goats and several bears. The mountains were majestic and there is always a picture waiting to be taken. This little raven sat at a pull out and we had quite the conversation (actually, I think he was looking for food).

    Another newbie.
