A fore runner of our current marvellous digital phones. These systems were still in use on the farms in the 1940's and 50's in our area as party lines. Technology sure has come a long way since then.

I used to like party lines. It was useful to find out what was going on!
You have some camera shake. I see it was 0.5sec - was it on a tripod?
