Sun Worshipers

A pair of mute swans enjoying February sunshine. The original, although colourful, had very busy water which distracted the eye from the dozing swans, hence the "artistic" treatment. Comments on this would be much appreciated.

The whites of the swans look a little 'hot' and its a shame the reflection loses the head but its a good graphic image.

Perhaps a bit of clockwise rotation needed?

As you know, I'll have similar water and background problems, so the "artistic" treatment is something I'll have to try.

By the criteria I apply to detect a twist, yes that looks spot on .... although, purely visually on composition, I wonder if just a tad more would help.

Difficult one to assess, see if another opinion is forthcoming, or leave as is, I think.

Hey Willie - that's a great interpretation. It's different to what I had in mind and perhaps the title should now be "Moon Worshippers" but great stuff..

I was actually thinking the same thing after the edit. Now they look like moon worshipers. LOL! As for the reflections, I use a technique in photoshop that they call "using a displacement map." A bit complicated but with patience you can do it in no time.
