and damn near found a naughty little gator hiding in the brush...I'm old, but I sure moved fast today...
These were all shot with a Nikon D7000 and a 50mm 1.8 Nikkor AF lens. The flying birds were all between 30 and 40 feet away and the standing bird about 8 feet.

Chris, it seems like that small but terrible prime lens and your D7000 is a good combo. Nice shots!

I really do like this lens...but afraid the camera is going to have to go back to Nikon ot get the image sensor dust taken care of...I spent forever cleaning tacky little dust specks from these images.
