Great Blue Heron thread

Thanks Doug, I feel i had a pretty good week with the Herons. I still like my first on page 7 the best though. =}

Some beautiful pictures in this thread and particular thanks to the op, Steve, for his lovely heronry shots. I have added a few portraits. We have a nearby heronry and the birds often let me get pretty close.

Caught this guy hanging out by the fish market...seems he is so much a regular, they've given him a name.

Larry One is a little overcooked..this one, Larry Two, I think is a better pose and less saturated.

This is Big Blue... the resident Great Blue on the pond (we also have other fun herons).
Not happy with the plant in front, but I was limited where I could stand.
