Took a quick trip out to my little goat prairie and managed to fire off a couple shots before mosquitoes (Minnesota State Bird) and deluge of rain. Butterfly weed is coming into full bloom

This one looks more like some sort of lantern I think.

I feel that it is going to be a good spring and summer for me macro-wise.

Feel free to post any flower macros that you have. I love to see them.
    Those are lovely, Peter. Thanks!

I rather fancy shot number 1, I believe that we actually have a related wild petunia here in Mn, I have not encountered it however.

Thanks, that is my favorite also. It looks like I did something in the studio, but this was outside with morning sunlight. Hope to see your MN cousin when it shows up for you :-0

Love the lotus. The color balance is marvelously relaxing to me.

Cactus flower - first time I have seen a cactus in bloom. Was a bit late to the party as most of the flowers had already wilted.

The mint is blooming. So delicate. As an added bonus, there's a tiny bug nestled inside the blooms. However not in good focus :-(

Not a macro, and arguably not a flower. But it is what's blooming right now...

It was DELICIOUS! I had to try it after a little research in my mushroom book and on the internet. Had the consistency of pain perdu and the flavor of a mushroom. My mouth waters to remember it. Unfortunately they only lasted a day.

This plant came up right by my back door. Don't know what it is, but it has delicate little flowers. They then turn into a green chinese lantern looking fruit.
