Agreed, I was so angry I pulled up dried brown grass, and moved twigs and pulled some other blades of grass and I missed this one but decided it would be to hard (for me) to clone so left it as is. Many thanks for the feedback and the encouragement which is always appreciated. From Dave H. The only minor criticism is the bright-ish blade of grass in foreground of #2.
Many thanks Donald. I agree about the background flowers. I was purposely trying to keep them in the shot, but the result was not exactly what a wanted which was more of a solid mass of flowers or just a solid mass of blurred colour in the background. That's how it looks from a distance but when you get up close there is a lot of space between everything (Go figure ). I plan to try the same (type of) shot with the telephoto and the wide angle when I get a chance. I'm not sure which will give me the effect I'm looking for, (Noooo, don't tell me) tying is half the fun. but for now I'm happy with what I'm getting with these old close up filters which just happened to fit the kit lens. From Donald: Gorgeous flowers, beautifully photographed. Maybe the second one could have done without the blurred petals in the background. But I don't think pulling them out just to get a picture could really be justified.
Thanks again for the feedback everyone
