I really like this. They all seem to be getting sharper and sharper or is that my imagination? But this one seems to be more on that artistic side. I, also, really love the strawberry flower in your previous post. These photos are so worth viewing in the light box. Wonderful!

No, they are not. It might be the size of the flower, although they weren't that big as I remember. Focus stacking ... I see the term a lot, but I still have to learn about that

You said it well. Thanks for the nice comments. On the sharpness ... it might have to do with the fact that nowadays I just shoot a flower 4-5 times, to ensure one 'perfect' keeeper. In the past I did one shot usually (like I did with film) and hoped for the best. I seem to have finally embraced one of the benefits of digital

Geranium phaeum
It is still a bit early for the bees, so I was pleased to see one on this flower. Only one shot came out sharp enough, the rest were disappointingly vague. I like all the hanging elements in this photograpgh though.
The flower is peculiar, with the petals bend backwards, it confused me at first.

Thanks for the comment.Just caught this revisiting this thread.You can do this type of work with extension tubes and or close-up filters on standard lenses.Also can reverse the lens to get higher mags.
