Nice. And you have a yellow inside. The ones I found were dark. They are beautiful flowers and they look best in big fields full of them. Alas I live in Holland, so not much chance of that

I guess you sometimes have to make a decision, though I am usually quite incapable!

For the first one, it was decided that it was a flower with a spider present rather than vice versa!

i don't have the resources for a dedicated macro lens, instead i use 2 exten tubes with a "hand me down" Canon 70-200mm F4L USM set between 100 to 135mm dependent on the flower diameter; this is a small blossom on a branch overhanging a fence

this small flower is the only redeeming aspect of a vine that spreads relentlessly

Nasturtiums don't get the respect adulated on roses perhaps because of their more demure size; if one takes a moment to peruse these subtle wonders they might become "pin up" beauties

Miniscule Beauty: this very small weed flower is 1/8 inch wide, its stamens are 1/64 inch in width, their supporting structures are less than a human hair's width

I like all of them Robert, but these colours look very good against the black.

looking down into the throat of the yellow flower before cropping, the yellow peripheral color is the upper 1/3 of the flower forming the splayed out petals; f/10 with 2 exten tubes + the 70-300mm set @ 90mm

re: close up filters, i used to use a Sony DSC-H2 with an inexpensive set of closeup filters, i was constantly plagued with chromatic aberrations around a flowers petal periphery, this ended when i acquired a Canon 250D closeup diopter lens, its a bit pricey but it has 2 elements 1 which corrects for chromatic abberation

very nice angular aspect & color rendition were it not for the distracting foreground green leaf in the red flower's midpoint; the background whitish "flare" artifacts are really unsettling also

I like the texture of flowers in the last days of their existence.
They're different and have a beauty of their own.
