I love this rose picture. I like the way you composed it with focus on the perfect flower above those that are fading. It also reminds me of wild roses that grow close to us in Texas. Beautiful!

This was taken yesterday in Colorado, USA and it's common name is Butter and Eggs.

Terri, beautiful shot. There is a peacefulness about it. Where in CO did you take it?

Thanks Chuck. I had to get down on the ground for that one! This was taken near Divide, CO which is west of Colorado Springs.

I think you are right Bob, the flower looks better. The background though, I am not sold on that. Next time you might try a different colour behind it.

Yes, I thought about that when I was processing it, white on white, I shall be back with something different.

Not much of a macro, but it's the first thing I've felt like taking in a while. It's been too hot and muggy down here in Texas to think about photography. But these wild morning glories just seem to be going great guns.

Do I take it from the name that this is some sort of wild carrot?

Beatiful colours John. And on your question: yes, I think it is some sort of carrot.

Fairly new camera - old lens...

These taken with an old Minolta MD 50mm macro lens set at 1:2 attached to an Olympus E510. Probably set at f5.6....
