Thanks, that one it's more of a close-up crop with a old M42 nifty fifty at minimum focus distance, I don't own a true macro lens, yet.

Most of my pictures are taken with 35mm or 25mm wide-angle lens.
Here is an example taken with the 35.0 mm f/2.0D Nikkor lens.

I like number 4 most in this series Fabian, nice composition somehow with those vague spots in the background. Your 2nd photo is a bit dark, it would have been nice to see that white pop out a bit more.

    Re: Macro flower photographs

Thanks for the tip, those "vague spots" where so random that I only realize them after I got home with the pictures, I like shooting wide open but sometimes going down to f 4-5.6 give you some nice hexagonal light spots bokeh if you use them to your advantage, ex (off topic subject):

    Macro flower photographs
(I wanted to get him in focus but he was dropping, from a tree, really fast and all swirly so I had to open up the aperture for more DOF, but still fails just before he got on the ground, using manual focus lenses has it's disadvantages, still it's not all waysted shutter click ^_^)

Even with autofocus this might have been difficult if he was dropping that fast. By the way, if you are interested, there is also a spider (here) and an insect thread (here).

Looks a bit like anthrrhinium, but I'll try to check. Quite delicate, lovely.

Today I was doing some tests, and we ended up discussing if this orchid looks better in colour.

I cannot decide yet, so I post both.
