Beautiful smile
This was taken with my Canon EOS Rebel Xs. I did use a circular polarizer. It has been awhile so I don't remember the settings. I have not used any photo editing, next to resizing it. Any C&C is welcome.

Re: Beautiful smile
It is kind of tonally flat.
I put it in photoshop, adjusted levels on the dark side up a tad, then did a control - j to copy the layer, changed the blend mode to multiply, and reduced opacity to taste, in this case 64%.
This darkens the tones with a little bit of darkness in them, while leaving the light tones alone. It sort of gently stretches out the tonal range like pulling on a piece of taffy. There are three great blend modes you should play with Screen (lightens lights), Multiply (darkens darks) and Overlay (combines screen and multiply equally) Adjust the effects by playing with layer opacity.

Hi Stephen,
You could also do this as PP, but I did it mainly as a lesson to be learned for "watching the background" and remembering to exclude anything that doesn't contribute positively.
I started with Tim's version, cloned out the bright distraction of the rail behind Majorie and gave the eyes a little sharpen (too much actually) and the teeth a desaturation (not that they were bad, it's just something I tend to do with portraits).
If I haven't said before; welcome to the CiC forums from ...
