Just one moment from a day full of moments, memories, respects and honours. ANZAC day, April 25 2011. From the Australian Light horse regiment, complete with his slouch hat and emu plume, a Digger listens intently to the words of one who is young and free. I hope she was thanking him...

Taken just outside Cape Town, I was coming home from flyfishing, saw the shot, took it. It was after sunset, with just enough light to have a go. Don't have Photoshop, pity about the telephone pole & wires.

Have just logged on after a day away.
I thought there were some stunning images in this challenge. Not only wonderful 'fine art' type pictures, but amazingly powerful documentary and narrative images that told incredible stories. Y'know that saying about a picture being worth a thousand words?
Good on Van Alvin and Trace for coming into the frame on a Challenge, but well done everybody.

Thanks Donald. I had noticed that only after I had posted them.
