There were thousands of these today. Got some more pics, but need to work on them.

This is just to give a picture of the numbers.

I love your second picture, that is an amazing sound and sight to see them circle and land or take off. Great shooting when they are in motion.
This is from a couple of weeks ago about 3 min from my house. I stopped on the way home from photogrphing an eagle

You are certainly getting the knack of these flying birds now, Tim.

I shot a Tamron DI SP 200 to 500mm. It was set at 500mm, in shutter priority, set at 1/1000s, f6.2, iso 250. It was an amazing day to shoot pictures. I think I took about 400+ between the two eagles, trains, deer, and snow geese. The geese were about 30 feet off a road as i was driving home. They kept taking of an circling and landing. There had to be over 20,000 geese. Just one of those great days to be outside. With good light and sky to go along with that. One of the eagles was in a tree along a busy river road.

    Thanks Gerald,
I have to wonder if we saw the same flock of snow geese.

Good stuff - both of you. I have great admiration for good wildlife photographers and you're showing us some quality stuff here.

Wow I love your pictures of flying geese. We have several that stop at our duck reserve in May, although we still have mountains of snow, but hopefully the snow will be gone by then. One of my favorite things to do is take pictures of birds and your pictures are great!

I added a lens flare for those of you who like sugar on your cereal...

    Snow Geese

This is the kind of trick you pull out of the bag on the rarest of occasions.
