Whoaaa! Awesome background! Spare the ducks and capture more of the sceneries. Just joking. I agree with you, it's too hard to keep these beings to stay or even be at the spot where we want them. I think that's what makes photography challenging. You guys are really blessed with spectacular scenes out there. Hope to see more if possible.
They are both wonderful shots. The first would be just as great without the ducks..."little buggers"!
great Colin - I think you captured the mood nicely. I like the rising mist. What time of day was that.Well since he asked so nicely Mark, wadda ya reckon?
The problem with a wide angle lens is that if you don't put something in the foreground then all you end up with is teeny weeny hills and clouds in the distanceThey are both wonderful shots. The first would be just as great without the ducks..."little buggers"!
I want to live there...
I like the second one and the last one, except for the ducks, I think there are enough photos of sitting mallards in this world, and probably other worlds too, the way they spread.
The foreground is also a little soft, I think. I also think the picture would be fine without the beach. Maybe better, as it brings little to justify the real estate in the image it takes up, in my opinion.
