Thanks to everyone who entered last weeks team challenge - and thanks too to those who both sent words of encouragement and advice throughout the week.
As a result of this feedback, I'm going to tweak things ever so slightly for this week so that the challenge can be just a touch more streamlined:
First up, if people want to submit more than 1 entry that's fine, but it helps with the voting if you can limit yourself to just the 1 image per post.
Second, there's been a bit of debate about leaving the comments in the thread or taking them out - it's a tough call because there are pros and cons to either approach. Sean's looking in to a better solution - so in the meantime what we'll do is keep the comments together with the images right up until the point where I close the thread and voting begins - at that point I'll make all the posts without images disappear until voting closes, and then make them reappear afterwards (so people trying to decide on what to vote for won't be too distracted).
We have discussed a better way of voting, but the present way worked OK for me - so I think we'll stick with that for now.
Finally, it was my intention to let the winner pick the theme for the following week - but with entries already only modest in number along with the rule that the image be taken in the last month, I feel that this would probably restrict entries even further - so my apologies in advance to Raycer, but I'm going to have to ask him to "take one for the team" on this occasion (So no theme this week)
So - on that note - lets get the ball rolling for week 2 - and of course, get Team Canon back on top where they belong, after our defeat last week!
UPDATE: Comments on images are - of course - more than welcome, but it would be really helpful if you could avoid displaying the original photo as part of any quoted portion, as it makes it a little confusing Thanks
