If you have the dosh, I highly recommend the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2:8 L IS USM, without IS knock off around £500 and Canon EF 100mm f/2:8 USM also the L if your budget will let you

Re: Two Lens EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM and EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM
OK, so I'm complete, almost. I purchased the EF 100mm f/2.8L IS Macro, along with a EF 100-400mm F4/5.6 L IS (thank you Dennis) which is due to arrive in the next few days. Along with my EF S 18-55 IS. I also bought B+W UV glass for the first two. Only one more to go, hopefully sometime this summer and that will be a EF-S 60mm macro, for the clock works that I do often.
Again, thank you all
