Don't take this the wrong way, but your wife is awesome! I love the turn you picked to take your shots at. How much did you crop these? I like what you did, but I think you could do the crop a few different ways and get a couple of very cool images.
This is a matter of personal preference, but I like motorsport photographs to have a little blur to them, especially on the wheels. I know this makes everything more difficult, but it really helps to convey the feeling of speed going on at the moment. Maybe slow the shutter down a little bit.
