A gorgeous street scene. I agree with what Geoff has said about interest everywhere, but I do wonder what a crop that really makes the child the sole focus of attention, would look like.

Thanks for the thought. This was already a crop - a grab image taken from the car as we passed with some seriously extraneous elements. But I hear what you say, maybe the bike cropped out leaving in the shoes and I kind of like the splash of color with the bucket.

Both crops looks good to me, though with each one I think the subject changes. The first one could be 'the colors of the street', while the second one could deserve the title "yellow dress".

I like the wider shot because it provides clues to the environment in which this girl is living. To me, the shot is as much a social comment as a portrait of a little girl in a yellow dress...
