    Texas Heritage

Another shot taken while we were visiting the Alamo compound in San Antonio, Texas. This is the facade of the building where the souvenir shops are located. Thank you very much for viewing.

    Jiro,

Very nice. I like the perspective and it is very sharp. Did you add the sky or was that cloud cover like that? Now that i have move from Tampa FL to the DFW area I will go there after we are finished looking around here.

Hello, Sam. I have to change the sky since it is way beyond the scope of the camera's exposure. I wanted to retain more detail on the structure so I exposed for the wall. That made the sky almost pure white. What I did then is to take another image from the same set of shots and substituted a sky that I exposed properly. I knew that this would happen so I exposed one with the wall in mind and another shot with the sky in proper exposure.

If you are going to the Alamo, my suggestion would be to go and visit it on a regular day. In that way, you will have a better chance of taking better pictures since it is not crowded.

Thanks Jilo. That is normally what I do when I go somewhere. I find it more relaxing. I am not a big crowd person. i finally bought a book on CS5 by Scott Kelby. I running thought it now. Hopefully it will help with my PP. The basics is the only thing I can do now.

Good luck on your study, Sam. That is also what I do, concentrate on the basics then slowly venture on the harder ones.

Nice work Jiro. Love the texture, you brought it out nicely without going to far, for my taste anyhow.
