Thank you Mary, how's the beach?
Thank you Mary, how's the beach?
Last night we were being bombed, okay, not really...but the Navy was having night flight training and the main runway is closed so the only flight path they are using is right... and I mean right over our house. And we had storms... every door and shutter were clanking all night long... creepy. I took Lucy on a walk with our friends yesterday and she loved being out on the beach.
Paul...sometime when you're feeling froggy and a bit adventurous, try doing a reverse pan...if the bike is moving from right to left, start your pan in the opposite direction and meet in the middle. You'll probably have to shoot in burst mode (mine does 6 fps), anticipating about a three second spread...I use to do this with race cars (film) and got some very interesting results, though in those days, with a decent motordrive, about 1 frame per second was the best you could expect. Even so, about every third setup, I'd get a heck of a background blur, while nearly freezing the bike in one spot. I'll look back through my notebooks and see my exact settings.
Mary, does the house have a bunker? Sounds like an interesting first couple days.
Chris, sounds interesting. Might have to give it a go next time out.
If it has a bunker, which I doubt, but if it did it would be... somewhere below... and I aint going there. I thas been interesting. Today my friend, Dawn, called and we took her kids and my Lucy out to Sandbridge Beach... fun. I can't even begin to tell you, or anyone that cares, how blessed I feel to have a real, live friend close by. It's been a long 8 years...
