Iron Man Triathalon At 40 Years Old
My son-in-law completed his first Iron Man Triathalon at 40-years old. Three years ago he had about a 44-inch (about 112 cm) waist and weight to correspond. He had trouble walking up a flight of stairs. He now has a waist about 32 inches (about 81.28 cm.) and finished a grueling triathalon which included a .5 mile (.8 km.) swim, a 15-mile (24.14 km.) up and down hills finishing with a 3.5 mile (5.63 km.) run also up and down hills.
He said it was physically the most difficult thing he had ever down and I believe him.
Here is the early morning start of the triathalon.

I'm not viewing on my own monitor, but they look good.
Well done to your son-in-law, both on this achievement, but moreso on the longer term achievement of getting himself into a physical state to be able to take part.
