Hi from Toowoomba Queensland
Hi all,
I am first time user of the website and I can see I'm going to learn a lot here.
For the past 8-9 years I have owned a Konic Minolta Dynax 7D and taken some pretty awsome photos by accident. Last week I bought a Nikon D7000. I am really, really happy. Technology has come a long way since I bought my minolta and had I realised sooner I would have bought a new camera long before now.
Nearly all the decent photos I have taken have been flukes, taken using automatic setting on the camera. I am very interested learning how to use my camera to it's full potential

Peppa
is that your proper name? If not, you can go to Edit Profile and enter your proper name under 'Real Name'. Then it will appear underneath your Username in all your posts. Most of us tend to use our real names on here. It makes communication more friendly and CiC is that sort of site.
And then we'll start on the training to wean you off the Auto setting and get you living at the Tv, Av and Manual end of the dial.
Great to have you on board CiC. I hope you enjoy it. Maybe you've already seen this is a site where people do try and support and help others develop their knowledge and skills. If you want to master the D7000 (which is a very nice piece of equipment) then you need to get to know it inside out. That's all about practice, practice and more practice. And then .... more practice.
But people on here will certainly wish to help you on that.

Re: Hi from Toowoomba Queensland
Thanks Donald. I have added my "Real Name"
I have had a look around on the site and people certainly seem very helpful and willing to share their knowledge which is really nice and something you don't come across that often in the photography world.
I've only had the opportunity to play with the new camera for about a total of 20mins so far, I'm planning to make time tomorrow to play/practice.
