since it bloomed this morning, and I've long since not remembered the botanical name or the grower's name, I've named it, "Easter Sunrise."

There is so little PP in this image as to make you wonder...a tighter crop, one overlay and two sharpenings. that was it...the flower really is incredibly colorful and rich...

My dear wife has heaps of the bloody things and sends me down to where she keeps them to photograph them whenever they flower. To keep for her records is her excuse. Now, if we could get records of them such as yours, then they would be really 'keepers!' And save me. For I am starting to take an inimical set against her poor, inoffensive day Lilies! Does anyone realize just how many varietals there are of the wretched things? 
But, to be serious. Great shots Chris. The vibrancy of the colours is stunning.

The Day Lily farm where I got this flower has over 1100 varieties of Day Lily...you could shoot for weeks and I will, soon as they want me to catalogueall their flowers. Thanks for the kudos.
