Trillium
The trillium are beautiful, and plentiful this year. I took the "path less traveled by" and discovered these specimens. C&C, as always, welcome.

Re: Trillium
That is one gorgeous variety of flower, Marie. On a personal taste, I think the background is too busy and attracting too much attention away from the flower itself. I would probably shoot closer and fill the frame with just the flower itself. Are the trilliums considered wild flowers?

Re: Trillium
Thanks, Willie!
Trilliums are a spring woodland wildflower. From what I remember, they bloom around Easter, hence the name TRIllium (as in Trinity). They are beautiful, and most are white, but some are pink, I believe. Hard to capture the detail in the petals and require some finesse. I have other photos that I shot closer. I will post them later.

Re: Trillium
Yes my thoughts were exactly the same as Willie.
I suspect that a bit of careful cropping will work well on these photos.
As you say, Marie, white flowers are so difficult if you also want to include an interesting background. But you have managed to retain the fine petal detail here.
I find the same problem with UK Wood Anemones.
