So I was shooting today in the first bright sunny day we have had in awhile here in Utah and I noticed some vignetting really bad on some of the shots. Is it inherent with the lens I am using? ( Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS ) If not..how do I stop it?

vignetting on a 55-250? I thought it was an issue mostly for ultrawides and wide...
someone familiar with this range of lenses will surely deliver an answer

It's fairly common with many lenses when shooting wide open and/or with filters attached.
Easiest solutions are to stop down a bit or just correct it in post-processing (most packages have controls to do it almost automatically).

Thx. I will try a stop lower tomorrow and see if that helps. I did have it all the way open and zoomed all the way out.
