Yep, good catch. I had no clue either. I have seen a crow hunt, kill and eat a large mole out of my yard, but never seen one fish.

Was this a fish crow or a common crow? Fish crows have a more hooked bill, bu the way you can tell them is by their call. The fish crow's call is like a short "uh oh," where the common crow is the familiar "caw caw."
Nice catch. Nice bringing out of the detail on the crow,as well.

Tim I think this crow may very well be a fish crow, the beak looks different from the" crow bathing shot " that I also posted .I was very pleased with the feather detail, I wish the eye was more defined, theres also a green tinge of foliage in lower right that I couldnt get rid of.Thanks all for viewing. I did not think crows would be hard to shoot, but getting detail out of crows blackbirds and loons has been tough for me .
