Industrialisation Lost in Time

Here're two shots from this weekend. I intended to give a little darker sense to some industrial objects near water.

I love the idea of the first image but the reflection is all wrong and then I thought so what. I was immediately drawn to the image and I like it a lot. The problem is when you start to think about what is happening at the waterline it takes distracts from the scene. I thought it was mist to start with but I am not sure reflections would behave like that with mist. Both are very go conversions.

The bottom part of the water is showing the bottom of the lake, due to the use of a polariser. I'm no completely sure about that part of the image, just like you. Maybe I'll redo the shot to see if it works out better when done differently. Anyway, thanks for your comment.

I like the scene in #1 very much. But like Steve I find the bottom part of the image confusing and it detracts from the strength that is in the upper part of the shot. Was it not possible to get closer to get a complete mirror image - or did you not want that?
