Beautiful images, Rob. I like them all, but my favorite is #4. I like the details in that one (and also lack the artistic gene ).
And did someone say shave and a haircut?
PS: I have been working with this one photo all day. It just didn't feel right to attempt the zoom blur technique on any other Thanks for sharing your secrets, Rob.
Sounds like a good idea.I'll have to give it a go with some of my photo's.
I have a question, please! How did you get these so clear? Was it just an incredibly still day? How are you guys doing this? Is my hill just too windy?
Very nice, I especially like the fourth one.
Chuck
Yes, Rob! I guess the thread has travelled a bit but I meant to ask how your outdoor shots are so very clear. My confession is that I'm completely irritated with my tripod - it's no good with this constant breeze. Then, there's the other trouble that it's emotionally difficult for me to cut the flowers to bring inside to photograph.
P.S. I've tried blocking the breeze but I might as well just turn around and spit in it, for all the good it does.

About the original flower "gifts" post. Before all the Pop star fan stuff dialogue from the yougens. All excellent. Duh, the flowers, people, not the other stuff, which was very amusing, I have to grudingly admit.
If I had to have my druthers I reckon it's got to be 'Mary' by a knat's whisker.
And thank you Rob for posting the very interesting processing tip. Can't wait to try it, big time... Flowers? Nah ... Penguins? Nah! Hey, Whales... Yep, that's the way to go!
I liked Rob's rather nice technique he developed and for what it is worth I had a bit of a play with it. However I used the magic quick selection tool to outline flower rather than the spherical select tool and for the feather used 250 ( #1) and then tried 25 (#2). Just thought I would post for interest. But maybe I am not on the right wavelength here and have missed what Rob is trying to achieve? Not hard for me to lose my way, you know. Do it all the time
