Hello,
Today I went out to try some pictures in the so called "magic hour". All the pictures were taken in the Parque Brigadeiro Eduardo Gomes, but don't ask any carioca "Where is the Park Brigedeiro...?" simply say "Where is the Aterro do Flamengo", we never call it for its oficial name.
Please, give me your opinion about exposure, composition and so on. Pictures were shot with my Canon Sx20is, hand held, no post-production (I don't know how to do it at the moment, too many things to learn at once =D).
#1 - This is the classic picture of "Believe me, in my eyes it was much better. Although it is nice" :D The hill is the biggest one of Pão de açucar (Sugar loaf)

If it is the railcar, I would either focus more on that object and eliminate most of the foreground material. #3 My favorite, although some would say that the horizon is too centered within the frame, I think the lines formed by the clouds and the diagonal in the foreground help move the eye around the frame. -

#1 - I see, I think that I got what you mean. I'll try to shot this again soon. I'm not sure if you meant picture 3 or 4 in the album. I think that the order is changed since you've seen it. I'll post both below. But I guess that it's four. The one with the kyte I think that was a good idea but surely I didn't have the enough skill to do it good. The sky is nice, but the rest too dark :(.
#2 When I shot was in doubt of what would be better. I was afraid that it would be too much space with water (in front of the boat and then between the boat and the platform). (I thought that you would complain about the noise)
#3 Ah, right. I'll bear that in mind, not to make a midline with the horizon :D
